High Brenfield Wind Farm

Low Carbon is proposing a new wind farm on land approximately 2km south west of Ardrishaig, near Lochgilphead and lies entirely within the Argyll & Bute Local Authority area.

The wind farm is proposed to have 10 turbines and an expected installed capacity of 66 megawatts (MW).

Following a thorough programme of consultation, Low Carbon took on board feedback and confirmed a further reduction of more than 25% in the number of turbines.

The proposed development site is currently used as a commercial forestry plantation of predominantly non-native species.
